Today’s electronic products, ranging from smartphones to tablet computers to high-definition digital televisions to communications systems – in fact just about any electronic device we’ve come to rely on – need to store vast amounts of data and execute hundreds of millions or billions of computations per second in order to perform their magic.
Incredibly sophisticated, computationally-intensive digital signal processing algorithms are required to perform audio, voice, video, image, and communications processing functions. Also, required are exceptionally reliable, high-speed memory storage sub-systems. In addition to extreme performance, all of these sub-systems have to be highly efficient and occupy as little silicon area and consume as little power as possible.
CEVA is the world’s leading licensor of programmable Digital Signal Processor (DSP) cores and platforms.
DSP Cores
A wealth of cores ideally suited to their target applications. We supply multiple families of synthesizable programmable DSP cores, each delivering a different balance of performance, power dissipation, and cost, thereby allowing our customers to select cores that are ideally suited to their target applications.
Platforms
An optimized combination of essential hardware and software elements. In order to reduce the cost, complexity, and risk in bringing products to market, CEVA has developed a suite of Platform IPs. These combine the hardware and software elements that are essential to designers deploying CEVA’s state-of-the-art DSP cores.
Development Environment
All of the tools required to guarantee success. CEVA’s Development Environment provides all of the Software, Hardware, and System Modeling tools required to guarantee success. CEVA-Toolbox™ includes a complete set of development, debug and optimization tools for each of CEVA’s DSP product families. CEVA’s hardware development tools provide all of the components for system providers to evaluate and develop complete SoCs based on CEVA’s DSP cores and IP cores. The end result is to dramatically reduce the time-to-market cycle.
